PGA star Zach Johnson, the 2007 Masters champion, has signed a new deal with Canadian performance apparel brand Dunning Golf.

Founder and principal designer, Ralph Dunning, based his concept for a sportswear brand on his own experience as an athlete, marathon runner and IRONMAN competitor of many years' standing.

The company's golf collection includes polos, pants, shorts, compression undergarments, thermal tops and sweaters, outerwear, accessories, headwear and 'lifestyle' shirts. All these pieces feature Dunning Golf's proprietary fabric technologies—manufactured in Canada "from the yarn up"which offer increased airflow, moisture wicking, breathability and UV protection.

Mr Dunning's claim is that, because these properties are manufactured into the yarns he uses, they endure for the entire lifetime of any garment.

On announcing the new deal, Zach Johnson said: "Ralph Dunning has a unique understanding of how to combine style, fit and performance in a way that allows me to look and play my best in all conditions. He's created a complete apparel system that's unlike anything else on the PGA tour and I'm excited to continue our relationship."
