Textilmoda and Plural Fashion cancelled

10/01/2008

Textile show Textilmoda and Asian fashion exhibition Plural Fashion have both been cancelled because of insufficient participant numbers.

Textilmoda, which specialised in textiles and accessories for the garment manufacturing industry, was launched in September 2001. Thirteen additions of the fair were held in Madrid, with international participants accounting for approximately 45% of exhibitors. Around 80 exhibitors showcased almost 400 textile and accessories collections at recent editions.

The first Plural Fashion was held in May 2007 and hosted approximately 70 companies. Particularly designed to appeal to Spanish retailers, the fair focused on instant delivery collections of textiles, clothing, footwear, leather items and fashion jewellery from the Far East. The second edition of the fair, held last October, attracted 91 exhibitors. Both editions hosted manufacturers from Bangladesh, China, the Philippines, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam.
