Nike names new Jordan Brand president

Nike has promoted Garry Cook from international general manager to president of the Jordan Brand.

Mr Cook has been with Nike for almost 12 years and has worked in various sales and general management roles in the US and Europe. This includes country sales manager for the UK, regional apparel sales director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and general manager for Nike Team Sports in the United States. He will report to Craig Zanon, who is head of global basketball for Nike.

The Jordan Brand was created in 1997 as a division of Nike and specialises in sports footwear, apparel and accessories inspired by Michael Jordan.
