SmartSilver finishes and additives from NanoHorizons and Piedmont

US-based antimicrobial performance additives company NanoHorizons, Inc. has teamed up with textile chemicals supplier Piedmont Chemical Industries, Inc. to provide SmartSilver antimicrobial/moisture management additives for polyester, cotton, and nylon. The new products, which will be developed jointly, will be marketed by Piedmont and should be available in February 2008.

An additive for synthetic fibre extrusion will also be jointly developed.
