Fashion shows, workshops and advice centre at new workwear show
A range of activities will be on offer at the new Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show to be held in Birmingham, UK, on April 2-3.
Six fashion shows have been put together by professional choreographer Debbie Astell, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, to showcase new work and corporate wear collections. Participating companies include Jermyn Street Design, Queen Eleanor and PCL.
There will be an interactive industry conference workshop with eight 15-minute talks and a 10-minute question and answer session for each. Invista, Datel, Clothessource Clothing Intelligence, DuPont, Arch Chemicals and WL Gore and Associates will be among the participants. Topics include: an overview of the textiles industry from 2007 to 2008; web-based order management systems; sourcing on a global scale; best practice for suppliers; European protective legislation; eco-friendly clothing and sustainability and branding in workwear.
The show will also feature an ‘Ask the Buyers’ advice centre through which workwear buyers will be able to find out more about sourcing and procurement.
More than 100 exhibitors are expected to attend the two-day event.
