Denmark-based footwear company ECCO has named Michael Waack head of its global golf footwear division. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Tønder and will be responsible for the brand’s golf footwear in both new and existing markets.

Mr Waack has considerable experience in this arena having spent six years as ECCO golf division sales manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has also served as German sales manager for Cross Sportswear.

New designs for spring/summer include the men's C-Force Hydromax, which features a carbon force plate and an ACE series with truss support elements for women.

International Tour stars that wear the brand's golf shoes include Colin Montgomerie, Pat Hurst, Aaron Baddeley and Sophie Gustafson.
