Bluestar inks deal with Quintenas
Silicones producer Bluestar Silicones recently signed a deal with active sportswear, sports lifestyle and workwear provider Quintenas Textiles Solutions to develop advantex technologies. Quintenas will have full rights for the technology, and will be responsible for developing high performance fabric composites using advantex technology. It will also take charge of manufacturing and marketing.
Bluestar will take care of research and development and will promote the brand. Fabrics using advantex are said to incorporate the benefits of hard and soft shells, featuring weather protection, freedom of movement and lightweightness. It is currently used in the mountain sports industry and can be used across the outdoor, medical and professional apparel sectors.
