Vibram announces new R&D site in China

Specialist soles provider Vibram has announced a major development for next year.
The company has decided to establish a major research and development facility in Guangzhou. The Vibram China Tech Center will cover almost 12,000 square-metres and will offer the manufacturer, its suppliers and the major sports and outdoor brands that use its soles in their footwear a chance to develop new ideas together.
Vibram says the centre will allow it to "widen the palette" of technologies it brings to market and, at the same time, strengthen co-development efforts with brands and create "a true network of qualified partners".
