International trade fair for mountain and winter technologies Alpitec is to run concurrently with sports, fashion and lifestyle fair ispo china 09 in Beijing from March 10–12 March, 2009. Messe Bozen and Messe München GmbH announced the decision at a press conference in Beijing on February 24.

China’s ski and sporting goods market appears to be booming and there are now more than small 200 ski locations across the country. It is now looking to the European winter sports industry for further inspiration, hence the meeting of the two shows.

"Alpitec China will start as a small event, but it has enormous potential," trade fair director, Reinhold Marsoner, says.
