Dow Corning introduces new screen printing inks for activewear
US-based silicones supplier Dow Corning has launched new silicone-based screen printing inks to allow manufacturers to print on a number of performance garments.
While many inks lack colour fastness and durability on garments made from elastic fabrics, these inks are designed to offer improved durability, a non-tacky finish and high elongation as well as better durability and colour fastness.
Senior product marketing specialist, Charlie Zimmer, says: “Modern athletes demand equipment, like athletic apparel, that combines protection with the latest looks.
"New developments in silicone technology allow athletic apparel manufacturers to deliver maximum performance, offering advanced protection while enhancing the aesthetic appeal and comfort of their products.”
Dow Corning has more than 25,000 customers worldwide and offers more than 7,000 products and services.
