Germany-based sportswear company adidas AG has appointed Uli Becker president and CEO of the Reebok brand. Currently chief marketing officer for the brand, Mr Becker will succeed Paul Harrington, effective April 1. He will report to CEO and board chairman, adidas AG, Herbert Hainer.

Mr Becker joined adidas in 1990 and has served as chief marketing officer since May 2006. Prior to this he was head of global brand marketing for the adidas brand and managing director of adidas International B.V. in Amsterdam from 2002 to 2006.

Mr Harrington is resigning after almost 12 years at Reebok, including more than two years as president and CEO.
