US-based safety apparel and accessories producer National Safety Apparel (NSA) has launched a new FR Performance Wear fabric.

The fabric is anti-microbial to prevent the build-up of odour-causing bacteria. The company claims that 99.9% of bacteria that come in contact with the material are killed, helping the wearer to stay fresher and cooler for longer. Perspiration is transferred to the outside of the clothing immediately. It is also fire resistant and gives the wearer an extra layer of protection.

It is being used in t-shirts, as well as for balaclavas and in the lining of the company's Arc Flash Hoods, among other items.
