Visitor numbers were up and new products for autumn/winter 2008/9 were well received at annual snowsport trade show Slide. The event, which took place in Manchester, UK, from February 17-19, attracted many buyers from the action sports and streetwear industries.

The focal point for the show was an area called Fresh!, which showcased new design and talent such as electric wireless skateboards, natural energy bars and new ski and snowboard ranges.

Meanwhile, winners of the Slide Awards were unveiled, including the Salomon custom shell in the hardware category, DB Leisure's bamboo base layer in the software category and the Noble Custom Ortovox S1 Avalanche transceiver in the accessories category.
