Nike rolls out new SPARTQ training line
Nike is introducing a new clothing, footwear and equipment collection for the younger generation in collaboration with training company SPARQ, which stands for speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness.
The footwear range includes the Nike Air Zoom SPARQ TR Elite, Nike Air SPARQ TR and the Nike SPARQ Test Pro. According to the company, the Elite is its lightest, most responsive training shoe ever. Each shoe has a ventilated cooling system and the outsoles are designed to offer lateral traction on multiple surfaces such as grass, hardwood and rubber matting.
In terms of apparel, the Nike Pro Core is a new performance base layer featuring advanced fit, technical fabric and engineered construction for increased comfort. Its Pro apparel also features moisture management and offers durability.
The new performance training equipment includes the SPARQ Agility Web, a newly designed modular ladder system to help athletes train to become quicker. The Nike SPARQ Training Network, comprising more than 750 certified trainers, was created to enable athletes at all levels to get SPARQ Ratings, to help establish more customised training programmes. More than 44,000 athletes from 2,000 teams across 38 US states have been SPARQ tested over the last two years, enabling them to track progress, measure improvement and benchmark against other athletes worldwide.
