Marine approval for DriFire garments

The US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has authorised Naval Aviation Commands, including Marine Aviation Commands, to obtain a wider range of DriFire garments.
Previously approved performance and flame resistant garments include silkweight t-shirts and silkweight boxer shorts, while silkweight long sleeve t-shirts, silkweight long pants, midweight t-shirts, midweight long sleeve t-shirts, and midweight long pants have now been given the go ahead.NAVAIR was established in 1966 and employs approximately 24,000 pilots and support personnel including re-fuelers, gunmen and navigators, who will wear the clothing.
