Lenzing Environmental Symposium draws a crowd
Austrian cellulose fibre manufacturer Lenzing AG attracted several big-name speakers to its Environmental Symposium in Paris on February 2. The event ran concurrently with fabric fairs Texworld, Première Vision and Expofil.
Speakers included Detlef Fischer, vice president at Bluesign Technologies AG, Rolf Heimann, head of Innovation and the environment Hess Natur and Dr Alfred Strigl from the Institute for Sustainable Development.
More than 150 visitors from Europe and Asia attended the event, most of who were linked to the apparel sector.
Lenzing fibers – viscose, modal and lyocell – are made from wood and are used for garments, home textiles and technical textiles as well as for the nonwovens industry.
