New army order for LaCrosse

25/03/2008

The Danner subsidiary of US-based branded work and outdoor footwear provider LaCrosse Footwear, Inc. has received a new business order for $1.3 million from the US Army.

Danner will supply soldiers with 9,350 pairs of the Danner Explorer boot in the second quarter. Traditionally sold as an outdoor mountain hiking boot, the Explorer was selected by the Army for its durability, performance capabilities, and lower profile, which allows for flexibility of movement especially in rugged outdoor terrain.

LaCrosse supplies protective shoes for industries including law enforcement, agriculture, fire fighting, construction, industry and military services as well as for outdoor activities such as hunting, outdoor cross training and hiking.
