Hyosung launches recycled nylon and polyester
28/03/2008
Hyosung’s nylon and polyester performance units have begun using post-industrial and consumer waste, including plastic bottles, nylon fishing nets, carpets and nylon fabrics to produce a range of nylon fibres.
The company will bring the fibres to market under the brand names MIPAN and regen.
Hyosung says consumers are becoming more concerned about sustainability and damage to the environment and that MIPAN and regen will help it address this by reducing energy consumption, waste and carbon emissions.
