New president named at Lululemon
Canada-based athletic apparel producer Lululemon Athletica Inc. has appointed executive vice president of retail operations, Christie Day, president, chief operating office and chief executive officer. She will succeed Robert Meers as CEO on June 30, when he will retire.
The company posted fourth-quarter net income of $14.6 million compared with just $900,000 in the prior-year period. Revenues rose to $105.1 million from $52.2 million. It anticipates that revenue growth for 2008 will exceed its previous forecast of 25%.
Lululemon also named Christie Day, its executive vice president of retail operations, to the positions of president, chief operating office and chief executive officer designate. She will succeed Robert Meers as CEO on June 30, when he retires.
