Switzerland-based Oeko-Tex is to give a presentation on 'Textile Ecology and Certification: Sustainability and Building Consumer Confidence' during the Surface seminar series at Direction - The International Textile and Surface Design Show. The event takes place in New York City on April 15.

The Oeko-Tex presentation will feature an overview of consumer attitudes and growing concerns about textile ecology, as well as covering the Oeko-Tex approach to certifying textiles and the role independent textile certification can play in the textile industry's sustainability strategy.

"The Direction show attracts an audience that has expressed a high level of interest in sustainability and textile ecology," says Trish Martin who will be speaking for Oeko-Tex at the seminar.
