Invista's new Cordora line fights stains and discolouration

10/04/2008

Integrated fibres and polymers business Invista has extended its Cordura brand portfolio with a line of Colorlock fabrics. Offering 200 new colour options, the fabrics provide stain resistance, colourfastness and durable performance.

Colour is permanently built into the fibre, so there is no need to piece-dye fabrics, eliminating energy consumption and waste generation involved in traditional dyeing processes. Furthermore, several colours in the Colorlock range are available with 25% pre-consumer recycled content.

Products are long-lasting, even when exposed to intense sunlight or extreme temperatures from industrial laundering. Therefore, they are suitable for packs, bags, luggage, upholstery, outdoor apparel and workwear applications.

The Colorlock fabrics are made with Invista’s solution-dyed nylon yards available in 650- and 1245-denier. The colours have uniform shade with minimal lot-to-lot dye variation and offer fade resistance.
