The first ever Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show held in Birmingham, UK, from April 2-3 has been commended by a number of visitors. More than 1,600 visitors and exhibitors attended the event including senior buyers, specifiers and suppliers from China, Japan, Pakistan, India and Europe.

The two-day exhibition featured several catwalk fashion shows, which were devised and staged by choreographer Debbie Astell. Other highlights included a series of interactive workshop seminars.

Joint managing director of Corporate Clothes Show LLP, Yvette Ashby, comments: “Our aim for the show was always to put buyers in touch with suppliers, to provide a forum for them to meet together once a year to share ideas and inspiration and ultimately to help this industry grow.

“New features for the 2009 show next year will be the Young Designers and Business Managers Awards in corporatewear, workwear and PPE, which will be awarded at a an industry gala event.”
