Clariant presents new products at ITMA

Swiss specialty chemicals manufacturer Clariant is to present a range of new products at ITMA, which is to be held in Shanghai from July 27-31.

These will include a sulphur system for denim and casual wear, a new generation of fluorocarbons, a one-stop service for continuous application and auxiliaries for active wear. End-use applications will be sportswear, home textiles, workwear, swimwear and other textile sectors.

Headquartered in Muttenz near Basel, Clariant is represented on five continents with over 100 group companies. It employs around 21,500 staff and generated sales of approximately CHF8.1 billion ($8.1 billion) in 2006. Its businesses are split into four divisions: textile, leather & paper chemicals, pigments & additives, functional chemicals and masterbatches.
