Armani appoints new CEO
Giorgio Armani S.p.A. has named Bruno Laguardia chief executive officer of Giorgio Armani Corporation, its wholly-owned US subsidiary.
Mr Laguardia has been responsible for spearheading the creation and organisation of Trimil S.p.a, a joint venture between Giorgio Armani Group and Zegna Group, established in 2000, established to oversee manufacturing and distribution of the “Armani Collezioni” menswear line.
Mr Laguardia began his career at Bassetti Group, an international manufacturer and distributor of home textile products, followed by executive postings with Ermenegildo Zegna Group.
Opened in 1983, Giorgio Armani Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Giorgio Armani S.p.A., overseeing all of the company’s operations in the US. The US market now represents approximately 24% of the company’s wholesale revenues.
