Hugo Boss prospers in US and Asia
Sales rose 2% at Hugo Boss in the first quarter to €510 million compared with €500 million in the first quarter of 2007.
Sales in Germany, where the company is based, fell to €99 million compared with €104 million in the prior year period. However, North American and Asian sales recorded double-digit increases. On the American continent, currency-adjusted sales rose by 11%, while adjusted Asian sales rose 28%.
CFO, Joachim Reinhardt, said: "For the ongoing trading period, we anticipate a currency-adjusted growth in sales of 6-8%."
