Kappa launches teen range in India
Italian sportswear brand Kappa has launched a kidswear range called Kappa Under 14 in India. Arjun Maini, the National under 12 Karting Champion, was a special guest at the launch. The brand was originally introduced to the Indian market by LMG Brands.
Designed for boys and girls, the active wear range carries styles for children aged four to 14. It will initially be available in Kappa stores in Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and Calicut, as well as in department stores across the country.
The branded kidswear market in India is estimated at Rs10 million ($246.9 million) and is growing at about 15% per year.
President of LMG Brands, Johnny John, said: “Kids in urban India are increasingly stepping out and choosing an active lifestyle for themselves. Sports and sports related engagements are their preferred activities towards this end. The branded kids wear market in India till now had no dedicated offering in the sportswear segment."
