New CBRN garment from SR3
UK-based CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) protection suits, life jackets and performance textiles manufacturer Remploy Frontline has launched a new protective garment, the SR3.
The single piece solution is designed to help reduce time to assemble, weight and complexity. It offers high protection levels can be put on by military personnel and first responders in less than five minutes. The SR3 is a double skin coverall with two different hoods (butyl seal and don cowl hoods). Without ancillaries it weighs 2.2 kilogrammes, a 38% reduction compared with the Frontliner's 3.6KGs. It is made from lightweight Gore Chempak which is more breathable and offers thumb loops and foot stirrups to reduce donning time.
