Eco-friendly fabrics at Interstoff Asia Essential

15/05/2008

A high turnout is expected at Interstoff Asia Essential, which will take place in Hong Kong from October 8-10. More than 200 exhibitors are expected to present their latest fabrics at the event and visitor numbers may exceed the 8,550 recorded at last year's autumn event.

Suppliers of organic, eco-friendly and functional fabrics will attend the show, which will be supported by a three-day seminar programme. Seminar topics will include information on style and trends, business strategies and technology.

A special Eco-textiles: Fabrics That Care display area will be erected to showcase a range of textiles made from organic or natural fibres alongside those that have a minimal impact on the environment during manufacturing and finishing. All products will be labelled with the Interstoff Asia Essential eco-labelling system.

Meanwhile, the 21st Century Wardrobe will present multi-functional fabrics and textiles with properties that are invisible to the naked eye. A Directions Trend Forum will feature a selection of exhibitor fabrics for autumn/winter 2009/10, picked out by the Interstoff Asia directions trend committee.
