Formtech, from the University of Art and Design Helsinki, was recently named as a Lindström Award winner. It was given for designing and creating a collection of garments for personnel at Toyota. The award was designed to interest future design professionals in corporate clothing, which has an important role in establishing and projecting an organisation’s corporate image. Students from universities across Europe competed for the award.

The award is co-sponsored by European fabric producer for the work wear, protective wear and casual apparel sectors Klopman International and a corporate clothing design competition. Klopman offered students advice and guidance on fabric suitability, as well as providing a range of specialised fabrics and supporting materials to make up prototypes for the submitted designs

Klopman bestowed a further award – the Klopman International Award – on Hungarian Team FD-TD from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design for best use of fabric.
