Nilit opens new nylon unit in China
Israel-based manufacturer of nylon 6.6 Nilit is to open its new nylon production facility in Suzhou, China, on June 3. Company executives will host a formal celebration with customers and dignitaries to commemorate the opening at which apparel made from Nilit yarns will be modelled in a fashion show.
Marketing and sales manager, Oded Breier, said: “Our Suzhou plant will upgrade the availability and quality of textured nylon yarns offered in the region and will also increase local access to Nilit’s technical experts. This will be extremely valuable to our Chinese customers, especially those exporting to Western apparel markets.”
The 10,000 m² facility features state-of-the-art equipment including new Barmag texturing machines. The plant will initially produce textured nylon yarns but the company plans to expand capacity and to add spinning capabilities in the foreseeable future.
Its energy conservation and recycling innovations have also been incorporated into the Suzhou plant design to ensure that the facility operates in an environmentally responsible manner. The facility will employ approximately 100 local workers.
