Hyosung opens new Turkey factory
Korea-based spandex producer Hyosung has started producing creora at a new factory in Cerkezkoy, near Istanbul, Turkey. When fully operational, the plant will produce 10,000 tons per annum.
President, Mr C Lee, said: “The factory in Turkey is part of our global growth strategy and we have invested because we are committed to the textile industry in Europe. Many European brands and retailers require production proximity to meet changes in market demand, so we are better positioned to ensure fast delivery to European & North African regional customers.”
The new factory in Turkey will produce creora lite fine dtex offerings (22 and 33) to meet consumer demand for lighter weight fabrics. Production will also include creora performance h-350, which is ideally suited for denim and for blends with polyester.
