Canada's six National Hockey League (NHL) teams are to be kitted out with swimwear from Calhoun Sportswear. The Ontario-based apparel company has launched a new line of board shorts, bikinis and tankini separates in the teams' respective colours and logos. The six teams are the Canadiens, Senators, Leafs, Oilers, Flames and Canucks.

Calhoun's Martin Myers said: "Beach attire is largely untapped territory for the NHL and they're very excited about the possibilities.

"They've known for some time that Canadian hockey fans don't simply turn off the switch when the playoffs end. Team loyalty is a year-round obsession. It's just been a matter of appealing to their off-season lifestyles.
