Trueway embraces bluesign screening
Taiwan-based fabric producer Trueway Corporation Ltd. is set to perform a bluesign screening, which it plans to use as a management tool to optimise the overall environmental, health and safety (EHS) situation at its manufacturing site.
It will include a detailed on-site evaluation of the complete environment, resource and workplace situation of textile manufacturing sites. The main five principles are: resource productivity; consumer safety; air emission; water emission; and occupational health and safety. It also looks into resource and cost saving potential.
“Trueway is a textile manufacturer for the outdoor industry and for surfwear. With our fabrics and our production we are responsible for the environment and for the end user. The bluesign screening helps us to keep down the resource consumption and the chemical usage in the future," said Yi Hong Huang, CEO of Trueway.
The company was founded in 1980 and it mainly focuses on producing PES, PA and PA/Lycra knitted fabrics for water sports and for linings.
