Ten Cate restructures
The management of Netherlands-based Ten Cate Advanced Textiles has decided to accelerate its plans for a greater focus on high-grade textile activities in order to structurally improve profitability. A reorganisation will take place, involving 47 employees. However, the changes will have a limited affect on 2008 results.
Within the Ten Cate Technical Fabrics operating company (part of Ten Cate Advanced Textiles), the focus will be on high-grade production activities, such as the coating and flame-resistant finishing of substrates.
Finishing activities for third parties that generate too low a profit will be discontinued, while production of outdoor products will be maintained.
The production activities of Ten Cate Technical Fabrics will be integrated with Ten Cate Protect at a later date.
