Wal-Mart honours Punjabi knitwear exporter

Venus Garments, one of the largest knitwear garment manufacturers and exporters based in Ludhiana, Punjab, has been selected as a Wal-Mart Global Procurement Supplier of the Year 2007.

The honour was given for high quality standards, on-time delivery of consignments and good management. It has experienced growth of almost 48 per cent over a three-year period and its annual turnover is currently almost $58 million.

The garment manufacturer supplies products to Gap Inc, Wal-Mart, Tom Tailor, The Children's Place, Sam's Club and Suburbia, as well as domestic companies.
