Action sports apparel, footwear and accessories retailer Zumiez has continued its run of positive financial sales, reporting a 14.7% increase in May. Sales for the month totalled $26 million compared with $22.7 million for the comparable period last month. Comparable store sales rose 0.2% compared with a 11.2% rise for the prior-year period.

The company recently posted a 14.4% sales increase for its first quarter, totalling $78.7 million compared with $68.8 million in the first quarter of 2007.

Zumiez offers a broad product range including skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motocross and BMX gear.
