Lurgi Zimmer supplies polyamide 6 to Tianjin Haijing

Lurgi Zimmer GmbH, a subsidiary of Frankfurt-based Lurgi GmbH, has signed a contract with Chinese firm Tianjin Haijing Polymerization Co, Ltd. under it will supply the firm with its polyamide 6 technology.

Polyamide is a widely used polymer for sophisticated textile applications and engineering plastics. Tianjin Haijing Polymerization Co Ltd, is division of the Tianjin Changlu Haijing Group, located in Tianjin. A new production plant featuring the two-stage Zimmer PA6 polymerisation technology, including a lactam water recovery, will have a capacity of 100 t/d high quality chips for use in both textile and engineering plastics applications. It will be built in Tianjin and will be opened in 2009.
