Gerber Technology presents student award
Connecticut-based Gerber Technology, a division of Gerber Scientific, Inc., recently presented its WebPDM Achievement Award to Tala Banatao at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles.
The award was given at the graduate thesis presentation event for FIDM’s International Manufacturing and Product Development Advanced Study Program. Each year, Gerber Technology recognises the student who best utilises the functionality of its WebPDM product data management software for his/her thesis. Ms Banatao earned the award for her work in developing board shorts for the Kirra label, sold at Pacific Sunwear.
Gerber Technology develops and manufactures integrated software and hardware automation systems for the sewn products and flexible materials industries. These systems automate and help improve the efficiency of information management, product design and development, pre-production and production processes.
