Hugo Boss supervisory board chairman leaves

The current chairman of the supervisory board at Hugo Boss, Dr Giuseppe Vita, is to stepp down at the end of the month. The managing board is hoping the supervisory board will elect Dr Hellmut Albrecht as its new chairman.

Dr Vita said: "This is a good time for a change. Hugo Boss has achieved excellent progress over the past few years and I am proud to have been part of this development. I am sure that the company will continue to meet the challenges of the future and the appointment of the designated managing board chairman, Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, represents a firm step in that direction. I wish Dr Hellmut Albrecht every success in his future work."

Dr Albrecht has a lot of experience as a manager in the industrial field, with a professional career spanning various managerial posts in large corporations and SMEs in the USA, Belgium and Germany. Since 1991, he has been working as an independent management consultant for German and
multinational companies, as well as acting on numerous supervisory boards. His current posts include the position of chairman of the supervisory board of debitel AG.
