New sportswear president at VF

VF Corporation has promoted Karen Murray to president of its sportswear coalition, effective immediately. The sportswear coalition, which is based in New York City, includes the Nautica, Kipling (US) and John Varvatos businesses.

Ms Murray joined VF Sportswear in September 2007 as president of its Nautica men's sportswear and Nautica Jeans Company businesses.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as group president, menswear, mid-tier, international alliances and licensing for Liz Claiborne Inc., where she was employed for 15 years.

Ms Murray will report to president, Eric Wiseman. She replaces Denise Seegal, who left the company in May to pursue other interests."
