Provider of integrated technology solutions for the soft goods industries Lectra has opened a new subsidiary in India. Based in Bangalore, it aims to develop new sales opportunities and to provide greater proximity to Lectra’s clients.

According to Lectra, India is a superpower in the making, with a growth rate of around +8.5% in 2007, and is among the top five largest textile and clothing exporters worldwide. The company works with a number of Indian companies in the apparel, footwear and fashion accessories industries, as well as in the automotive and industrial fabrics sector.
