Regatta launches summer outdoor wear

27/06/2008

UK outdoor clothing brand Regatta is well known for its wet weather protective garments, including waterproofs and softshells. However, it has recently introduced a range to protect outdoor enthusiasts from the sun. Its Sunshade technology range – which includes t-shirts, shirts, trousers, shorts and hats – is designed to protect wearers against harmful UV rays.

The garments have a sun protection factor of between 20 and 40 to help protect covered skin from sun damage and are specially woven to provide optimum protection without the need for harmful chemicals or treatments.

Highlights include the men’s and women’s Taiga T-shirt, a base garment for more physical outdoor pursuits with a sunshade protection of (SPF) 25+. The shirt is made from a comfort control lightweight polyester fabric and offers quick drying performance. It can be teamed with the Geo IV Cap, which offers protection of (SPF) 40+ and is stain-resistant, water-repellent and quick drying.
