Two DMAI awards for Clariant

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited has been given two awards by the Dyestuff’s Manufacturers’ Association of India (DMAI) The first was for excellent performance in pollution control by a large scale unit for 2007-2008 and the second for excellent performance in safety and hazards control by a large scale unit for 2007-2008.

The awards were received by Vasant Ghorpade and Subhash Joshi and were presented by Ram Vilas Paswan, government minister for chemicals, fertilisers and steel. The ceremony took place on June 20 in Mumbai.

Head of ESHA, Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited, Yegna Mani, said: “Clariant is committed to generating genuine, sustainable added value. In addition to compliance with national laws and regulations, the goals of the Business Charter for Sustainable Development of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Responsible Care initiative of the chemical industry serve as guiding principles.” Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd. manufactures pigment dyestuffs, intermediates for dyes, pesticide and pharmaceuticals.
