Golf Galaxy headquarters to close
The headquarters of US-based golf specialty retailer Golf Galaxy is to close, although the date has not yet been revealed. Downsizing has taken place since the company was acquired by Dick's Sporting Goods, and the Eden Prairie site in Minnesota is now to be shut down. No Golf Galaxy stores – of which there are currently 75 – have yet been earmarked for closure, but it is thought that Dick’s is re-evaluating all aspects the business.
A number of jobs will be affected by the decision, including that of co-founder and chief executive, Randy Zanatta, who is to leave the company on July 18.
