New technical swimwear at Maru

UK active swimwear and equipment brand Maru Swimwear has launched a new range of competitive training/racing suits called MX1. The line aims to optimise swimmers’ strength and performance as well as offering advanced fit, shape retention, comfort stretch and durability.

Using chlorine proof fabric Dow XLA, the MX1 suit is designed to fit the swimmer like a second skin. The fabric also works with the swimmer to provide tension and controlled pressure to specific muscles, which helps to preserve energy during training sessions and races. The new fabric is naturally resistant to harsh chemicals, high heat and UV light, and has undergone six months of fit and performance testing by the Nottingham University Swim team .

The suit is available as either a swimsuit or legged suit for women and as a short or full leg suit for men in black and white.
