Branded apparel firm Kellwood Company has appointed Michael Kramer president and CEO, women’s clothing business, effective August 18.

Mr Kramer has more than 15 years executive leadership experience. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Abercrombie and Fitch.

In his new role, Mr Kramer will be responsible for the overall growth and direction of the women’s clothing business which includes the design, marketing and development of leading women’s apparel brands including Vince, My Michelle, Phat Fashions, Sag Harbor, Briggs New York, and XOXO.

He will take over the post from Robert Skinner, Jr., formerly chairman, president and CEO, who will resign from Kellwood to pursue other interests.
