The discussion, which will be held on August 9 in Salt Lake City, will focus on green production. Nüwa will offer a textile industry mixer at its booth at the end of the day.
The panel will comprise experts with experience in the certification process for the supplier, manufacturer and retailer. They will explain what it means to be certified and how to achieve it. They will also share their own personal experiences in tracking transparent production, and will discuss effective ways to educate the consumer on the transparency of textile products. Nüwa co-founder, Larry Harrison, will be one of the panellists.
Mr Harrison said: “The importance of transparency cannot be overstated in today’s consumer product marketplace. Proof of responsible production techniques and ethically based manufacturing processes are imperative for companies wishing to gain an educated and loyal, as well as broader consumer base. Taking positive, proactive measures is the only way to overcome the scepticism and doubt that has overtaken the global consumer.”
“What sets Nüwa Textiles apart is that we begin by carefully engineering the manufacturing process to reduce both water use and energy consumption. Only then do we produce fabrics of durability and creativity,” said company president, Michael Shih.
