Paul Smith sportswear at Fashion V Sport
Paul Smith will showcase various items Fashion V Sport, a London-based exhibition running from August 5, 2008, to January 4, 2009.
Products on display will include the 531 Mercian Track bike, designed to complement the 531 cycling collection from Paul Smith Jeans along with a limited-edition snowboard designed as part of a clothing collaboration between Burton and Paul Smith Jeans.
Other high-profile designers who have ventured into the sportswear sector will also attend the event, including Stella McCartney, Bernhard Wilhelm, Boudicca, Itor Thrupp, Kim Jones and Chanel.
Fashion V Sport will focus on the complexities and tensions between the two industries, from the way sportswear has become an essential part of the modern wardrobe to the way high-performance textiles developed for competition are being integrated into high-end fashion.
