Iconix Brand signs new international licenses
Iconix Brand Group Inc has signed new agreements through which its brands will be distributed in new territories.
The Op brand, currently licensed in an agreement with Wal-Mart, recently launched in Canada. Op will also launch in Mexico next spring at Wal-Mart stores.
Iconix has also signed four separate license agreements for its London Fog, Joe Boxer and Starter brands in Europe, and for its Rocawear brand in Brazil.
The company has signed a deal with Yellowstone Ventures for London Fog clothing and accessories. Yellowstone will hold a multi-year license to manufacture and distribute the London Fog brand throughout the EU and Turkey and will open a London Fog flagship store in Milan.
Iconix has signed a long-term license with Virgo through which Virgo will open Joe Boxer stores throughout Europe in major cities such as London, Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam and Paris. Virgo will manufacture and distribute Joe Boxer intimate apparel and apparel related products in the stores and throughout the EU and Turkey.
The third agreement is with Mint Apparel Limited, involving a long-term master license agreement for Starter apparel and key lifestyle categories in the EU and Turkey. Mint Apparel holds the European license for the Fila brand and the company's Op brand.Iconix has also entered into a license agreement with TBC Gestao de Marcas Ltd, to manufacture and distribute Rocawear apparel, footwear and accessories in Brazil and to open freestanding Rocawear stores throughout the country. The Brazil-based firm also holds the license for Ecko Unltd and Sean John in Brazil.
