Gerber announces cutting development
CAD/CAM and PLM solutions provider for the apparel industry Gerber Technology has introduced a new advancement in single-ply conveyorized cutting technology. The company says that greater accuracy, speed and flexibility are the driving forces behind the development of this new product line, which has the name DCS3600 / 3600L.
The DCS3600 system is built on the DCS3500 platform and will integrate into any cutting room environment in the apparel industry. Gerber’s CutWorks software is included with all system configurations, enabling full automation and greater efficiencies in the cutting process. The DCS3600L provides a longer cut window, an option for manufacturers whose applications require the ability to cut pieces up to three metres in length between bites. Conveyorised cutting in fewer bites produces greater throughput and a more precise cut, Gerber argues.
